Del Rio to Ft Clark SP, Bracketville March 28

Mike and I rode the tandem from Del Rio to Bracketville (44 miles). Mike is looking at all the roadkill deer in hopes of finding some antlers. Mike spotted his prey and, as usual, not listening to me (as I said in passing the deer, "there aren't any antlers, keep going") stops the tandem, jumps off w/o communicating his intentions to me. I was still clipped into the pedals on one side and over I went. All Mike heard was @#$!! for the next 5 minutes. Beside having bruises on both legs and a very sore left thumb, to top it off we would discover later that we had a broken a spoke on the bike. Ever try to find a bike shop in towns as small as we are traveling through? We arrived at Fort Clark and did the usual tour things. Called BI Cycle to get the actual size of the spoke and then began trying to find a bike shop that carried the right size. For those that don't know, you can't ride the bike any great distance w/o the spoke. It messes w/the wheel.
